How It Works

Getting started is simple. Once you're in, your mission is to help us find and fix bugs.

1. Install TestFlight

Download and install Apple's TestFlight app from the App Store. It's the official platform for beta testing iOS apps.

2. Open the Invitation Link

Click the "Join via TestFlight" button above or scan the QR code using your iPhone's camera.

3. Install the App

Tap "Accept" and then "Install" inside TestFlight to download the Remote TV beta to your device.

Your Mission: Help Us Improve

Focus on these key areas. When reporting, mention your TV model, iPhone model, and iOS version.

Connection & Compatibility

  • Device Discovery: How quickly did the app find your TV? Was the process automatic and smooth?
  • Connection Stability: Did the connection ever drop unexpectedly during use?
  • Advanced Scenarios: Test with VPN, Ethernet TV, or iPhone Hotspot if possible.

Core Functionality

  • Responsiveness: Any lag between tap and TV reaction?
  • Controls: Do all buttons—volume, channels, navigation, mute, playback—work as expected?
  • Stability: Did the app crash, freeze, or drain battery?

Troubleshooting: Can't Connect?

Some TVs block remote apps by default. Look for settings like "IP Remote," "External Device Manager," or "ADB Debugging."

Samsung (Tizen OS)

Settings > General > External Device Manager > Device Connection Manager → Allow access.

LG (WebOS)

Settings > Network > LG Connect Apps (or "Mobile TV On") → Turn on.

Roku TV

Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > External Control > Network Access → "Permissive" or "Default".

Fire TV / Android TV

Settings > My Fire TV > About → Tap device name 7 times to unlock Developer Options, then enable ADB Debugging.
